With 69 days until the elections, the police are already preparing for extreme scenarios. The police have previously activated dedicated frameworks for election day, and until now, preparations were primarily publicized in terms of maintaining the integrity of the process. However, this evening (Wednesday), we are revealing the operational plan taking shape within the police force.

The security establishment has decided to raise the alert level to "Magen 3," one operational level below the highest. In addition, senior police officers have received instructions to map out polling stations where disturbances might develop, with a specific emphasis on locations where threatened public officials are expected to vote. As part of the preparation, a deployment of special units, police, and security forces is planned for public centers and voting hubs, based on preliminary mapping.

The police clarify that they are prepared for election day itself and the following period, with a focus on potential disturbances arising from the election results. The goal is clear: to arrive at election day prepared for any scenario and to prevent, at any cost, a situation where violence or unrest disrupts the democratic process.

The Police Commissioner has stated on several occasions that anyone attempting to harm public safety or disrupt election day will encounter police officers, Border Police fighters, and volunteers at the polling stations who will act in a determined, tough, and uncompromising manner.
