The passive-aggression continues: after Brad Pitt's confession, "Angelina Jolie is not surprised"
After reports that the actress hopes for her family's healing, her ex-husband's confession about returning to alcohol has met with a predictable response. "It's Brad. No period of sobriety or attempt to reinvent himself will change that."

The sky did not fall on Angelina Jolie when Brad Pitt revealed in an interview this week that he has returned to drinking after seven years of abstinence. According to a source close to the actress speaking with journalist Rob Shuter, Angelina is not surprised. She knew this was always a possibility.
As reported overseas, Jolie believed for years that Pitt's rehabilitation did not necessarily solve his underlying issues. She does not believe that Brad has fundamentally changed.
"It's Brad. No period of sobriety or attempt to reinvent himself will change that," the source claimed.
62-year-old Pitt admitted to the relapse during a comprehensive interview with Esquire UK, after the interviewer noticed the actor offering him a glass of wine. "I was sober for seven years. And then I went back to drinking," he said, clarifying that he currently drinks in limited amounts. "I can have a few glasses, but I can't drink a lot. I have to be professional about it," he added, noting that there were moments he felt too confident, only to realize that alcohol was not for him.
This confession comes against the backdrop of the actor's strained relationship with his children, most of whom recently filed a request to drop his famous surname. The couple separated in 2016 following an incident on a private flight where Jolie accused Pitt of being violent toward her and their children. Pitt denied the allegations at the time, and no charges were filed following an FBI investigation.
Recall that Pitt and Jolie co-own the French winery Chateau Miraval, and the legal matters surrounding it remain contentious. Last week, it was reported that Pitt claims Jolie refuses to provide income information from 2017 to 2021, as he attempts to challenge her claim that she put her career on hold following their 2016 separation. The actress, who reportedly just wants everyone to heal, maintains that Pitt has no right to receive this information. We will continue to follow the situation.
