Unusual footage from the incident of throwing a fragmentation grenade at a Japanika branch in Kiryat Ono reveals the moments when the two suspects endangered themselves during the event. In the video, the two are seen throwing the grenade after the pin was pulled, but it does not explode. One of them approaches it, picks it up by hand, and throws it again. Only on the third attempt does the grenade explode near the business. On Thursday, an indictment will be filed against the two following the incident.

The incident occurred about a month ago, around 02:00 AM. According to the police, two masked suspects arrived at the scene riding a two-wheeled vehicle, threw a fragmentation grenade at the entrance to the business, and fled. As a result of the explosion, damage was caused to the place, but there were no casualties.

Now the footage of the incident has been revealed, which illustrates how dangerous the act was even for the suspects themselves. In the video, the two, residents of Bat Yam, are seen near the business when the grenade is thrown but does not explode. Even after another attempt, it remained on the ground without exploding. At this stage, one of the suspects approaches the grenade, picks it up by hand, and throws it again. On the third attempt, the explosion is seen.

The investigation was conducted by the Central Unit of the Tel Aviv District. The police linked the case to struggles between criminals and the acts of violence that have occurred recently across the country. According to the police, investigators used technological means to track down the perpetrators and identify them, despite attempts to cover their tracks.

A few days later, an 18-year-old suspect, a resident of Bat Yam, was arrested, and a few days later another suspect, 22, also a resident of Bat Yam, was arrested. According to the police, during searches conducted in their homes, findings and items of clothing were seized which, according to the investigators, link them to the commission of the offense.

The arrest of the two was extended several times during the investigation. After the police announced the completion of the investigation, prosecutor's statements were filed against them, and on Thursday, an indictment will be filed against the two following the incident.
