Big Brother winner Gal Rubin sues ex-partner: "Commercial exploitation of images"
Gal Rubin has filed a 306,000 shekel lawsuit against her former partner, alleging the unauthorized commercial use of her personal Instagram photos despite her requests for removal. She also claims defamation regarding his public allegations that she demanded a 50,000 shekel "bribe."
Network influencer and Big Brother winner Gal Rubin has filed a 306,000 shekel lawsuit against Mahmoud (Modi) Tsapuri. According to the filing, the two previously had a "fleeting" romantic relationship, and Tsapuri, who uses his public Instagram page to promote his business, continues to display photos and videos of Rubin despite an explicit written demand to remove them.
The lawsuit alleges that Tsapuri published malicious and defamatory lies about her. In an interview with the Walla! Celebs website, the defendant presented the plaintiff as having demanded a 50,000 shekel "bribe," allegedly threatening to defame him if he did not pay. "This is a completely false attribution of criminal-sounding conduct. The damage resulting from such claims is self-evident," the lawsuit states.
Rubin, a mother of six, notes that the parties never lived together or managed a joint household. "There is nothing in the fleeting relationship that existed between the parties to grant the defendant permission to publish false, degrading, and criminal-sounding claims about Gal Rubin," the filing argues.
The claim focuses on the ongoing infringement of privacy. Rubin asserts that Tsapuri continues to use dozens of photos and videos of her to promote his business, which generates "traffic" and contributes to his profits. The content in question reportedly includes couple photos, images of Rubin in a swimsuit, and photos featuring her minor children.
Despite a warning letter sent on July 30, 2026, the defendant has refused to remove the content. Beyond financial compensation, Rubin is asking the court to order her former partner to publish a correction and immediately remove any mention of her from his social media platforms.
Rubin is represented by attorneys Ben Karpel, Adam Karpel, and Liron Nahum. Her representatives stated: "The lawsuit will be conducted in court, not in the media." Mahmoud Tsapuri responded: "See you in court. Good luck to her."
