The underworld coalition: The connection giving the Musli brothers new power
Police suspect that the struggle between the Musli and Jarushi organizations has turned into cross-sector alliances: the son of Yusef Hariri was arrested on suspicion of supplying grenades, and the Tel Aviv Central Unit claims that evidence has been gathered linking the involved parties.
While the criminal organization of Ismail Jarushi is apparently receiving behind-the-scenes reinforcement from Eran Haya's organization in the Jewish sector as part of the struggle against the largest criminal organization in Israel, led by brothers Eli and Yossi Musli, the Musli brothers are receiving explicit support from one of the most significant criminal organizations in the Arab sector, led by Yusef Hariri. These are the suspicions of the Tel Aviv Central Unit (YAMAR), which is investigating the affair of grenade attacks on Japanika branches, including in Kiryat Ono and Givatayim, where the entrance to the branch was set on fire.
About two weeks ago, "Maariv" revealed the connection formed between the Musli organization and the Hariri organization, which seeks the collapse of the Jarushi organization. It has now emerged that recent arrests have provided the Tel Aviv Central Unit with concrete evidence linking the involved parties to this cross-sector alliance.
Last Wednesday, immediately after returning to Israel, Ahmad Hariri, the son of Yusef Hariri, was arrested on suspicion of supplying fragmentation grenades to 35-year-old Robert Abdilov from Bat Yam, who was arrested about three weeks ago on Highway 6 with two fragmentation grenades in his vehicle.
Hariri's involvement did not end there. Less than two weeks after Abdilov's arrest, 36-year-old Yakir Maimoni, an associate of the Musli organization, was arrested by Central Unit investigators after two 9mm Beretta pistols and two fragmentation grenades were found hidden in a washing machine near his apartment, intended for use in the Musli organization's struggle against the Jarushi organization.
Ahmad Hariri's detention was extended by the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court until next Wednesday. In court, the police representative stated that investigators possess recordings and evidence linking Hariri and Abdilov to the offenses, as well as the connection between Abdilov and Maimoni, who acted as a coordinator and mediator between the grenade throwers and the Hariri organization.
The investigation is in full swing. Within its framework, a judicial arrest warrant was issued against Yossi Musli, who was placed under house arrest with restrictive conditions. He was previously detained on suspicion of involvement in an attack on a Wolt courier, but the court decided to release him to continue his house arrest.
