Channel 16 in an intriguing recruitment: This is the young journalist joining Yaakov Eilon
Channel 16 recently began its broadcasts, and against the backdrop of acquisitions of companies in the media and digital assets sector, it is expanding its ranks with a new journalist.
Journalist Natalie Matuko, who served as a reporter for the public broadcasting corporation Kan 11 and worked at Reshet 13 as part of the program 'HaTzinor', is joining the team of journalists at Channel 16.
Matuko will join the many talents who have already joined the channel: Yaakov Eilon, Zvika Hadar, Maor Zaguri, Yael Bar Zohar, Eylon Levy, and others. As a reminder, as part of Channel 16's vision, content will be determined by the audience through AI, and it will be offered to the public.
Itay Wollman, the channel's launch CEO, stated at the inauguration:
'Channel 16 will be the first channel in Israel that is truly of the public, owned by the public. The public will decide what is broadcast on it, and yes, the public will profit from it — because there is money in television. The viewing public will not just be a rating statistic, it will be a partner. A real partner.'
Furthermore, the company that owns Channel 16, Itzik Haddad's real estate firm, recently acquired half of Koda Communications — an Israeli production company responsible, among other things, for 'Mehubarim', 'Hitnatkut' (broadcast on Kan 11), and series such as 'Yaldei Rosh HaMemshala', 'HaShagrirut', and more.
