An indictment was filed this week at the Krayot Magistrates' Court against a resident of Kiryat Motzkin, charging him with a series of violent assaults and death threats against his elderly mother. The suspect lived with her and repeatedly harmed her until his arrest following reports to the police.
The investigation was launched following information regarding ongoing violence against the elderly woman. Details revealed that the son repeatedly beat her on multiple occasions, causing bodily injuries. In one instance, he even threatened her life, telling her, "I will kill you."
Following the reports, officers from the Zevulun police station arrived at the scene and arrested the son. He was taken in for questioning and subsequently detained. Upon completion of the evidence-gathering process, the police prosecution unit filed the indictment, which consolidates two separate cases. The charges include assault causing actual bodily harm and making threats. Police emphasized that they will act firmly to bring perpetrators of violence against the helpless and elderly to justice.
