A store clerk in Kiryat Ata was injured after teenagers sprayed confetti in her face at close range when she refused to let them take items for free. Police are investigating.

A teenage boy sprayed confetti directly into the face of a store clerk at close range in Kiryat Ata after the employee refused to let a group of youths take items without paying. The incident occurred on Tuesday, election day, at a party supply store.
According to the victim, four teenagers entered the shop and attempted to take confetti products for free. When she refused, they began harassing her, repeatedly forcing the door open and disrupting her work. The confrontation escalated when one of the youths grabbed a confetti tube from the shelf and fired it directly into her face from point-blank range.
The clerk reported suffering from severe burning sensations, blurred vision, and redness in her eye. Paramedics from Magen David Adom were called to the scene, and she received medical treatment on-site. Her condition was assessed as mild, though she remained in shock and the store was forced to close early at 2:00 PM instead of 7:30 PM, resulting in financial losses.
The store owner strongly condemned the violence, stating that management takes the incident very seriously and will take all necessary measures to ensure a safe working environment. A formal complaint has been filed with the police, and authorities are reviewing security camera footage that captured the attack.
