Keren Peles on a quest to find the star of her childhood: "He lived here"
The Israeli singer went on a concert tour overseas and between shows she finds time to experience the local culture and atmosphere. She went for a visit to the neighborhood where the Argentine star grew up and could not hide her excitement.
Keren Peles, judge of "The Next Star", often shares with her followers moments from her personal life, from raising children to significant moments in her career. Now, just after participating in a special episode dedicated to her and her good friend Miri Mesika on "Dancing with the Stars", she packed her bags and flew for a special concert tour in Argentina.
Between shows she travels, walks around and experiences the local culture. In a series of stories she uploaded tonight (Monday) to her Instagram page, she shared her search for the undisputed star of Argentina — Lionel Messi. Dressed in a shirt with his picture, she followed the tributes made to him throughout the city.
"We went out to look for Messi and in the meantime we found him on alfajores," she wrote while attaching a picture of a package of cookies bearing his image.
Later she filmed a residential building bearing a huge picture of the star, as well as a wall surrounding the street displaying a huge tribute to Messi. Later she shared a video in which she wrote: "This is the neighborhood he grew up in until age 13, and his parents stayed here even when he moved to play in Barcelona. Crazy." Later she presented another street with a picture of Messi, but this time she linked it to Israel, as that very street was called Israel until recently.

After passing through more points with pictures of the Argentine captain, she stood before one of the houses and said that this is the parents' house. "Walking here is exciting," she added later as the tributes to the star did not stop. To conclude the journey she filmed a wall full of notes and blessings, which, according to her, were hung following the death of Messi's father, Jorge, who passed away last week.
