Keren Marciano: "I am of Moroccan descent. You are a small and racist man, be ashamed"
Keren Marciano launched a sharp attack against the doctor who sparked a racist storm, sending him a pointed personal message. She also criticized the government and right-wing journalists, stating: "If you are shocked by racism, then be shocked at every opportunity, not just when it serves a political goal."

Keren Marciano, economic editor of the news company and host of the television program "Seven" on Channel 12, addressed the controversial statement made by Dr. Dov Luxman, a gynecological specialist and director of the gynecological surgery department at the Aya Medical network, who also operates at Assuta and other clinics.
In a post published on his Facebook account, Dr. Luxman divided Likud voters into types of monkeys and attacked Likud voters of Mizrahi descent.
"Baboons - the main layer, low, mostly Eastern, Moroccan dominance, market stall owners, violent, simple-minded, consumed by rage and inferiority complexes," wrote Dr. Luxman.
The post sparked widespread public discourse. On her program, Marciano addressed a sharp message to the government, right-wing journalists, and the specialist himself:
"The ethnic demon is being let out of the bottle today by Doctor Dobi Luxman. He writes a post in which he divides Likud voters into four: baboons, who are the main layer, low, mostly Eastern, Moroccan dominance, violent market stall owners, simple-minded. The next layers are chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans. What disgusting racism. This post received wide publicity today among right-wing journalists and Knesset members from Likud."
Marciano also recalled the statement by Ziv Agmon, the Prime Minister's Chief of Staff, regarding Mizrahi communities: "I remembered the words that Amit Segal published: 'Now we know where our Moroccans came from. From Africa. A baboon is a monkey.'"
"Why are the Knesset members who condemn the doctor today the same ones who appointed Netanyahu's Ashkenazi lawyer as State Comptroller, even though they had a golden opportunity to appoint the Mizrahi judge Yosef Elron, who came from the transit camps (ma'abarot), to the position? I have a suggestion for everyone: if you are shocked by racism, then be shocked at every opportunity. Not just when it serves a political goal."
Finally, the host addressed the surgeon: "I am of Moroccan descent, Dr. Luxman. It doesn't matter who I vote for, but you are a small and racist man, be ashamed. It is very good that Maccabi and Assuta announced your dismissal."
