Kanichowsky does not rule out a comeback, Maccabi Tel Aviv tries to lower demands

Maccabi Tel Aviv sporting director Steven Venera is in contact with the management of the Hungarian club Ferencváros, aiming to lower the fee they have been requesting for several weeks for Gabi Kanichowsky. The midfielder is open to a move back to Israel despite a strong season in Budapest and is willing to fulfill his two-year contract, but if the clubs reach an agreement, he will return to the Israeli Cup holder.
Kanichowsky earns 600,000 euros net at Ferencváros, and this is the salary he demands at Maccabi Tel Aviv. Additionally, if he returns to Israel this summer, he will have to pay taxes on earnings from the previous season, which Maccabi Tel Aviv would need to address; however, the primary focus remains on lowering the Hungarians' two-million-euro asking price.
As a reminder, a year ago Kanichowsky left Maccabi Tel Aviv after the club was confident he would sign a new 380,000-euro contract, but he ultimately joined Ferencváros, which offered him a three-year deal with a salary of 600,000 euros net.
Meanwhile, Maccabi Tel Aviv is prepared to pay Roy Revivo approximately 500,000 euros net per season once he decides to forgo a move to Europe. The 'yellows' want to secure Revivo on a new three-year contract, and the outcome now depends on him.
