Oshri Cohen and Itamar Levi Top the 5786 Annual Israeli Music Chart
Kan Gimel and ForReal revealed the winners of the 5786 Hebrew music chart with over 700,000 votes. Oshri Cohen won Song of the Year, and Itamar Levi claimed Album of the Year.
The Israeli music scene recently celebrated its biggest artists during the annual Hebrew music chart for 5786, a collaborative project between the radio station Kan Gimel and the content platform ForReal. The special broadcast, which revealed the winners, was hosted by Maya Bezalel-Assis, Eran Swissa, Noy Ben Haim, and Amit Harari.
This year recorded a historic level of audience engagement, with over 700,000 votes cast by listeners and web users. Participants chose the songs, artists, and creative works that defined Israeli music over the past year.
The Big Winners of 5786
Taking home the ultimate accolade for "Song of the Year" was Oshri Cohen with his hit track "Kulam Ganavim" ("Everyone Is a Thief"), a major category decided entirely by public vote. Other prominent winners include Odia, Ben Tzur, and Itamar Levi, who were crowned "Artists of the Year," while Levi's album "13" won "Album of the Year."
The title of "Breakthrough of the Year" went to Roi Adam, and Mor won the EP of the Year category for "6FM". The "Viral Song of the Year" award went to "Hu Gay" by Liad H, featuring a special performance by Noa Kirel.
