At 61, the star of Desperate Housewives admitted that her current romantic status is surprisingly quiet. Despite her past relationships and high-profile connections, Hatcher revealed that she has not been on a date in roughly seven years.
Seven Years Without a Date
Since her divorce from actor Jon Tenney in 2003 after nine years of marriage, Hatcher's name has occasionally been linked to Hollywood figures such as television host Ryan Seacrest and comedian David Spade. However, her romantic life has ground to a complete halt in recent years. "God, I'm so single," Hatcher declared during the interview. She added that while her heart remains open and she would never say never, she simply does not date.
Even rare attempts at matchmaking fail to materialize. Hatcher, who is planning a relocation to London to star as Miranda Priestly in the musical adaptation of The Devil Wears Prada, shared a recent anecdote from a wine festival. A friend introduced her to a man and she gave him her phone number, but he never called. When asked if she might give British men a chance across the pond, she joked that the last man she dated seriously—though only for six months—was British, but she refuses to judge an entire nation based on one person's behavior.
Balancing Career, Relocation, and Family Care
The glamorous move to England will require the star to leave behind her 91-year-old parents in Los Angeles, for whom she routinely acts as primary caregiver. "My dad has dementia and my mom isn't doing so well," she shared before becoming emotional on camera. "I can't stop living my life because I have to take care of my parents, but it's hard. It forces me to look at a lot of things — like when we choose to put ourselves first, even when it feels difficult."
Despite romantic misfortunes and family challenges, the actress refuses to play the victim. According to Hatcher, her friends describe this current chapter as "the thawing of Teri." She embraces the sentiment, noting, "I kind of like it. I don't know if I put myself in the freezer, or if my parents or the industry put me in the freezer, but whoever put me there — I'm coming out. A pleasant thaw."
