The final weekend of the summer vacation is a perfect opportunity to get out of the house without traveling far from the center or spending a fortune on overpriced attractions. We have gathered several options: a kosher winery, a coffee cart, a kosher restaurant, and a nature trail.
Udi and Yaf — Coffee Cart in Kfar Rut
As you approach Modiin, the landscape becomes greener. Near the coffee cart, you can still see the remains of temporary dwellings from the early days of Kfar Rut. Managed by Odelya (Udi) and Yafit (Yaf), this spot features comfortable seating and a cooling system with fans and water misters.
The menu includes excellent coffee and creative sandwiches. Don't miss the Beetroot and Truffle Cruffin (49 NIS) or the La Bosca pizza (68 NIS).
Opening hours: Tue–Thu 8:00–20:00, Fri 8:00–16:00, Sat 8:00–20:00. Free parking; soldiers receive free drinks.
Tel Hadid — A Short Nature Trip
Located about 15 minutes away, Tel Hadid offers a great combination of nature, scenery, and history. The hill provides a wide view of the Shfela, Gush Dan, and Ben Gurion Airport. It is home to archaeological remains and ancient olive trees. Entrance is free.
Benno — Kosher Restaurant in Beit Nehemia
Located at the entrance to Beit Nehemia, this restaurant offers both indoor air-conditioned seating and an outdoor area. The menu features high-quality kosher food, including various lasagnas (from 72 NIS), Tartufo Pizza (79 NIS), and pastries from the tabun oven. The adjacent La Colina bar is open from 18:00 to 02:00.

Villa Wilhelma Winery
Bnei Atarot was founded by German Templers, and many buildings retain their historic charm. The winery is housed in an impressive villa surrounded by lush greenery. They offer a wide variety of wines, salads, cheeses, and quiches. On Fridays, a fixed menu is available (300 NIS for two).
