Julia Shahar: 'I couldn't really talk or be with him there'
After Julia Shahar was eliminated from 'Dancing with the Stars', she hoped for more time with her husband Yogev Malka. Instead, she spent Tu B'Av supporting him on the set of 'Ninja Israel', admitting: 'I love and am so proud of him.'
Recently, Julia Shahar and Yogev Malka have not been seeing much of each other, despite being married for less than a year. Julia has been occupied with the current season of 'Dancing with the Stars' (with live shows starting tonight on Keshet 12), while Yogev is in the midst of filming the new season of 'Ninja Israel', which he has joined as a new commentator.
These demanding schedules, while exciting, make it difficult for the couple to spend quality time together. However, that did not stop Shahar from visiting her husband on set on the evening of Tu B'Av. At 2:00 AM, the dancer shared an Instagram story featuring a photo of herself and Malka embracing, along with a heartfelt message:
'I just returned home from the 'Ninja' set. I am home alone because Yogev is filming until the morning. In reality, we will only see each other tomorrow evening because he sleeps most of the day. I drive there on every one of his filming days just to be near him. I couldn't really talk or be with him there—maybe five seconds when he goes out for a quick break—but being close to him physically is encouraging.'
Shahar continued with a moving declaration of love: 'I love my husband and I am so proud of him. My heart is full just seeing him fulfill himself like this, and this Tu B'Av makes me just as happy as sitting in a restaurant.'
As a reminder, the dancer was recently eliminated from the current season of the dance show just before the live broadcasts. She previously won first place in the third season, dancing alongside Australian actor and Israel advocate Nate Buzolic, who has been conducting phenomenal advocacy for the country since October 7.
