Jerusalem Protester Released After Video Proves Police Mistaken Identity
An ultra-Orthodox demonstrator arrested in Jerusalem was released after court video footage proved police mistakenly detained him instead of the real stone-thrower.

A Haredi demonstrator arrested in Jerusalem's Mea Shearim neighborhood was released after video footage presented in court proved police mistook him for another individual.
The suspect was detained during a protest following a police officer's report claiming continuous visual contact with the stone-thrower. Prosecutors subsequently requested a five-day extension of his detention.
During the court hearing, defense counsel presented video evidence of the incident. The footage clearly showed a different person committing the offense, prompting the police representative to withdraw the detention request and agree to an immediate, unconditional release.
