A car exploded Tuesday morning in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood of Jerusalem, leaving a 50-year-old man, a known criminal, seriously injured and his 13-year-old son with moderate injuries. Police forces from the Jerusalem District rushed to the scene to collect evidence and launched an investigation, which indicated that the background of the incident is criminal.

The report regarding the explosion was received at 08:17 at the 101 dispatch center of Magen David Adom in the capital. MDA emergency medic Haki Har Kesef stated that units arrived rapidly with intensive care ambulances and rapid-response motorcycles to find the vehicle in flames with debris scattered around.

Medical personnel located the 50-year-old man and the 13-year-old boy conscious, suffering from burns and trauma. They provided preliminary medical treatment at the scene before evacuating them to the hospital in intensive care ambulances while continuing treatment.
