"I was reborn": Kelly Osbourne takes a break after breakup and loss
Two weeks after sharply criticizing her ex on Instagram, and about a year after her father's death, the star is taking a break to recharge: "This vacation reminded me that taking a break is not a waste of time - it is exactly what is needed to return to yourself."

In July of last year, she parted ways with her father, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, and last March she went through a painful breakup with her partner of the last four years and the father of her son, 49-year-old DJ Sid Wilson. Now, she has chosen to step away from the turmoil and is taking a refreshing vacation.
"I am truly learning how important it is sometimes to step away from the madness. I am so immersed in life, work, people, and plans—in everything happening around me—that I forget I am allowed to stop. To disconnect. To breathe. To just be," wrote Osbourne alongside photos of herself relaxing on a sunbed.
"This vacation reminded me that a break is not a waste of time—sometimes it is exactly what needs to be done to return to yourself. I truly feel that I was reborn. Lighter, calmer, happier, and really not ready to go home. Note to self: do this more often. Life will still be there when you return," she concluded.
It is heartening to see Osbourne restoring her energy, as just last month she sharply attacked Wilson in a series of stories: "Wake up and take responsibility. I'm done. I want to be happy and I have a beautiful son to raise," alongside accusations regarding financial disputes. The two, who were close friends for over two decades and became a couple in 2021, broke up last March—just seven months after they got engaged backstage at Ozzy Osbourne's farewell show.
After the death of her father, which Osbourne found unusually difficult to accept, sources close to her claimed that the grieving process was very hard. In a story posted three days after his death, she wrote: "I feel unhappy, I am so sad. I lost the best friend I ever had."
