Jennifer Lopez's first husband, 52-year-old Ojani Noa, has revealed in an interview with the US Sun details regarding a confrontation he had with Sean "Diddy" Combs over an alleged affair with the star. According to Noa, this took place while Lopez was still married to him.
The relationship between Noa and the singer, which lasted only 11 months nearly 30 years ago, reportedly fell apart when Combs entered the picture during the production of her debut album in 1999. "Everything was great and we were so in love," said Noa, clarifying that Lopez and Diddy knew each other long before the media reported it.
Noa claims that Lopez began spending increasing amounts of time with Diddy, and friends working at Miami hotels would call him to report seeing them together. He stated that Lopez insisted the connection was purely professional, until a photograph surfaced showing her sitting on Combs' lap.
"We had a huge fight, because I knew she was cheating on me," he claimed.
The confrontation escalated after he and Lopez attempted to reconcile. He alleged that Lopez had tried to break up with Diddy, but the rapper threatened her and her family. On one occasion, when Combs arrived at her Los Angeles home and began shouting her name, Noa confronted him directly.
"She said she was afraid. I immediately left work and arrived at her place. He started shouting, saying he knew I was inside. Jennifer was on the balcony and told me not to do it; she was worried. She told me he had guns, but I told him I would take him apart," Noa recounted. Eventually, neighbors reportedly called the police, and Diddy fled.
The romance between Lopez and the rapper, who is currently serving a prison sentence, became public in September 1999, and the two separated in 2001. Since then, Lopez has married three more times: to dancer Cris Judd, singer Marc Anthony, and actor Ben Affleck.
