As learned by mako, singers Assulin and Gal Juma, who are preparing to release a new duet titled "Zahra," have been forced to remove teaser videos from social media that they filmed in Jaffa. The videos featured local Arab women who, according to sources familiar with the details, did not understand that the footage would be uploaded to TikTok and Instagram.
"I am the girl who filmed a video with you," one of the participants wrote in an appeal to the singers. "I saw the video you posted on Instagram and TikTok, and since then I have been encountering several problems because of its publication. I ask you to understand my situation and delete the video from social media as soon as possible."
According to the same sources, the videos sparked a stir online, and the women featured received harsh reactions and threats from the Arab sector. While one video has already been removed, each remaining clip triggered further demands for deletion from the participants.
"I filmed the video with you only as a souvenir, and I did not expect it to be published online. I hope you will understand me and respect my request," wrote one participant.
Another message was even more direct:
"I am about to file a complaint with the Israel Police and take legal action against you for publishing the video without my consent. This publication has caused me many problems and even harmed my mental state. Please delete it before I am forced to turn to the police."
