Jackie Azoulay on her battle with illness: "I was saved at the last moment"
After revealing that she was saved from an aggressive melanoma and underwent complex back surgery, reality star Jackie Azoulay decided to turn her physical scar into a symbol of strength with a moving tattoo.
With great courage, culinary personality Jackie Azoulay revealed that an innocent-looking mole removed from her body saved her life when it was diagnosed as an aggressive melanoma — a dangerous form of skin cancer.
Following the diagnosis, Azoulay underwent a complex medical journey that included a series of tests and surgery on her back to remove a lymph node. By the end of the process, Azoulay learned that her life had been saved at the very last second. To commemorate this miracle, she visited Eliav Ozan's tattoo studio and had the word "Warrior" tattooed on her lower back.
"The tattoo hides the scar from the surgery I underwent after the melanoma was discovered on my skin," Azoulay told TMI. "The truth is that I was saved literally at the last moment, thank God. I wrote 'Warrior'," she added.
This medical drama unfolded against the backdrop of her separation from 36-year-old Osher Abergel after a year and a half of dating. The couple decided to end their relationship permanently about two months ago.
According to reports, the crisis was particularly deep when Abergel packed his belongings, moved out of their shared apartment, and returned to live at his mother's home in the city of Herzliya.
