Israel Railways announced upcoming infrastructure and safety engineering works in the Ashdod, Ashkelon, and Yavne areas, which will temporarily affect train schedules on Friday, October 23, 2026. The company emphasized that these upgrades are essential for improving track infrastructure, with regular service fully resuming on Saturday night, October 24, 2026.

The modifications will impact several major rail lines in the southern and central regions. Trains operating on the Beersheba - Herzliya route, passing through Sderot, Netivot, and Ofakim, will run on a split schedule operating between Beersheba Center and Ashkelon, and separately between Yavne West and Herzliya.

Additionally, trains on the Ashkelon - Binyamina line will have their routes truncated, starting and ending exclusively at Rehovot station. To assist commuters and minimize disruption, Israel Railways will operate a complimentary shuttle bus service for passengers.

Furthermore, a special update has been issued for travelers attending the "Next" concert at the Ramat Gan Stadium on Thursday, October 22, 2026. Reinforcement trains numbered 687 and 8299 will terminate their journeys at Yavne West and Rehovot stations. Management advises passengers to check schedules in advance.
