The public outcry surrounding the controversial documentary film "Collateral Damage" ("NZA") has escalated sharply as its creators prepare to return to Israel, drawing fierce condemnation from public figures and former hostages.

Rom Braslavski, a former hostage who recently began hosting an interview program on Channel 2000, published a sharp message on social media targeting director Rachel Shor over reports of her impending return. Expressing profound outrage over how the Israel Defense Forces were portrayed internationally, Braslavski condemned the project and its creators.

"Rachel Shor is on her way back to the country. I and everyone standing with me will never let you return to normal life here after what you did," Braslavski wrote. He further called on state authorities to strip her of citizenship, labeling the actions a betrayal of soldiers who fought in the conflict.

The storm follows the release of the documentary, created by Shor alongside journalist and director Yuval Abraham in collaboration with the British newspaper The Guardian. The film relies on anonymous testimonies from 24 intelligence officers and soldiers, including veterans of Unit 8200, detailing air strike decision-making processes and artificial intelligence utilization.

While the film received critical acclaim internationally, including a prolonged standing ovation and a jury prize at the Venice Film Festival, it triggered intense domestic condemnation. Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar denounced the filmmakers and announced efforts to pursue citizenship revocation, while defense authorities initiated legal reviews regarding classified intelligence leaks.
