Iran: "The US must return to its commitments for the Strait of Hormuz to be opened"

Iran has announced that talks with Oman are progressing, with both countries discussing the establishment of a "joint temporary maritime corridor" in the Strait of Hormuz and reaching an agreement to clear the area of mines.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi stated that Iran has made it clear to mediators that the US must "correct its mistakes and return to its commitments" if it wishes for the Strait of Hormuz to be reopened.
Separately, according to Reuters, US President Donald Trump has submitted an agreement for cooperation with Saudi Arabia in the field of civil nuclear energy to Congress. A source within the US administration added that Donald Trump insists the agreement will only proceed if Saudi Arabia joins the Abraham Accords and normalizes its relations with Israel.
