At 38, heading into his 18th season, Curry continues to prove his touch remains elite. Last season, he was limited to 43 games due to injury, yet averaged 26.6 points per game and shot 39.3 percent from beyond the arc. Based on the latest footage, his shot is already in mid-season form.
Parallel to his performance, there is ongoing discussion in the U.S. regarding Curry's future. The 38-year-old star is entering the final year of his current contract, set to earn approximately 62.6 million dollars. As of August 29, he became eligible for a two-year maximum extension worth about 136.7 million dollars. Reports suggest Golden State has presented him with several options, including a one-year or two-year maximum deal, a lower-value contract, or delaying the decision.
Curry addressed the situation this week, stating there is no drama regarding his future:
"There is no doubt that I want to be here until the end of my career, and I am pretty sure that is what will happen."
He is in no rush to sign:
"The contract and all those things will happen at the right time. We are not letting it distract us from the preparations for the season."
