A 3-year-old child in Bnei Brak miraculously survived after being run over by a car while chasing a fallen kippah. Meanwhile, other traffic accidents across the country resulted in several injuries and one fatality.
Unusual footage from Bnei Brak: In a video that circulated this morning (Tuesday) on social media, a 3-year-old child was filmed the day before yesterday crossing a pedestrian crossing in the city with his mother, who was pushing a baby carriage, and then running back onto the road, apparently to pick up a kippah that had fallen. At that moment, a vehicle arrives at the scene and passes over the child — who had crouched down and flattened himself on the ground — and he emerged almost unscathed. The child was evacuated to the Ma'ayanei HaYeshua Hospital in the city in light condition. The footage is at the top of the article.
Overnight, a 36-year-old electric scooter rider was injured while riding in northern Tel Aviv. MADA teams summoned to the scene on HaRav Kosovsky Street provided him with initial medical treatment and evacuated him to Ichilov Hospital suffering from a head injury.
Last night, a 6-year-old child was moderately injured after being hit by a vehicle in the city of Lod. MADA teams summoned to the scene on Friedman Road evacuated him to the Shamir-Assaf Harofeh Hospital suffering from head and limb injuries.
Yesterday, a young man of about 18 was killed and another young man was seriously injured when a private car collided with a bus on Route 5504, near Nir Eliyahu in the Sharon region. MADA teams summoned to the scene declared the death of one of the young men on the spot, and the second was evacuated to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba. The bus driver was lightly injured.
MADA paramedic Noam Toram and medic Avihai Pinchasi said yesterday from the scene in the Sharon:
'We received a report of a serious traffic accident involving a car and a bus. When we arrived at the scene of the accident, we noticed three injured people, including a young man of about 18 who was unconscious and trapped in his vehicle. During the rescue operations, we performed a medical assessment of his condition, at the end of which, unfortunately, we had to declare his death due to his serious injuries. At the same time, we provided medical treatment to another passenger from the vehicle, a young man of about 18 with head and limb injuries, and to the bus driver. While continuing the treatment, we evacuated them to the hospitals, with their condition defined as serious and light.'
