"They were supposed to just disappear": New details from the night of the murder of Binyahu Razi

Within hours of the murder at the Airbnb apartment in Nachlaot, investigators and detectives from the Zion District Anti-Crime Unit managed to arrest six of the seven suspects in the murder of Binyahu Razi. A source familiar with the investigation tells Maariv that Linor Sasson tried to distance two minors and David Koren from the city, and that critical evidence was collected at the scene that led to the breakthrough.

If not for the quick response of the investigators and detectives of the Zion District Anti-Crime Unit, who managed to stop the vehicle in which Sasson was traveling in a short time, it is not impossible that the investigation into the murder of Binyahu Razi would have become complicated and lasted for a long time.

"She had an intention to smuggle the minors and the young man out of the Jerusalem area," the source told Maariv. "She said it explicitly. The plan was for them to disappear from the area. Her son, Avior, was not with her in the vehicle."

Indictments were filed against Koren and the other suspects for their part and involvement in the murder of the young man in an Airbnb apartment in the Nachlaot neighborhood of Jerusalem.

A senior source familiar with the details of the investigation told Maariv that the investigators collected critical evidence already in the short period of time after the murder. They downloaded footage from security cameras in the area, operated advanced technological means, and managed to arrest six of the seven suspects during that same night. Agam Zarfi was arrested at her home, while Shilat Huta was located at the Central Bus Station in Jerusalem, while she was suspected of trying to leave the area.

The investigation also revealed that Koren, whom Huta, Zarfi's friend, called, was the one who connected her to Linor Sasson via a conference call. According to the investigators, from that point on, a chain of events began that ended in the murder. Koren is the partner of Linor Sasson's sister, and according to the suspicion, he was the one who connected the young women to the two minors and Sasson's son. The investigation also raised a suspicion that the equipping with the means used by those involved was done in Sasson's apartment.

As part of the affair, a traffic police officer, Zarfi's sister, was also investigated. According to the suspicion, she received information about the serious incident but did not report it to her superiors, even though she apparently knew that her sister had a connection to the incident. In addition, a prison guard in the Israel Prison Service was investigated, who according to the suspicion allowed a relative of Avior to have a phone conversation with him, apparently against the background of a personal relationship she maintained with him. The prison guard categorically denies the suspicions, and no decision has been made regarding her yet.

Also regarding the minor, a relative of Linor Sasson and Avior, the investigation has not yet been exhausted. She was released after several days of detention under restrictive conditions. "There are those involved who were released before we exhausted the investigation with them, and regarding them we will make a decision later," the source familiar with the details of the affair told Maariv.
