"Got on his knees and asked us to stay": The testimonies of the sex workers from Liam Payne's final moments
The two sex workers who were with the former One Direction star hours before his death reveal the madness in the hotel room: punching the TV, breaking a gold watch worth 140,000 shekels due to a money dispute, and his pleas while drunk and high: "Money doesn't make me happy."
New details about the final hours of Liam Payne are revealed in the affidavits of two sex workers who claim they were with him at a hotel in Buenos Aires on the day he died. According to documents obtained by the Mail on Sunday, the two told investigators that Payne, 31, went into an alcohol and drug-fueled outburst after failing to pay them $5,000 (about 18,000 shekels), hours before he fell to his death from his third-floor hotel balcony, from a height of about 14 meters, on October 16, 2024.
"During our time there, we had consensual sex with him only once, and he used protection," Aldana Serrano and Lucila Goita said in their affidavits. According to them, after they requested the agreed-upon payment, Payne offered them his gold Rolex watch instead, worth 30,000 pounds (about 140,000 shekels), and when they refused, he smashed it. One of them said: "We told him we only wanted money, so he took it and broke it. He told us he didn't care about the money."
According to the two, Payne said he could get ten of those, and then punched the hotel room television three times. "He broke the television, he punched it," one of the women said. "He made us understand that he could break everything because he knows he can pay for it." After the outburst, according to them, he calmed down, got on his knees, and asked them to stay. The affidavits claim he told them that money does not make him happy, sang his own songs while drunk, and later asked them for cocaine.
In a report published after his death, it was found that Payne's body contained alcohol, cocaine, and clonazepam, a strong sedative, at the time of the fall. Payne arrived in Argentina 16 days before his death while waiting for his US visa renewal, and spent much of the trip with his partner Kate Cassidy and businessman Rogelio Roger Norse. According to the report, he was sober for the first two weeks of his stay, until Cassidy returned to Miami on October 14 and Norse also left the country.
Later, according to the report, Payne left the luxury Park Hyatt hotel after allegedly causing damage to his room and confronting staff in anger. From there, he moved to the CasaSur Palermo hotel, where, according to the two women, he contacted them after finding one of their profiles online. They said he sent photos of himself in bed and a video proving his identity, after one of them had trouble believing she was messaging a former One Direction star.
The two said they arrived at the hotel around 11:30 AM, presented their IDs at the reception, and went up to his room. According to them, there was a language barrier: Payne spoke only English, they spoke Spanish, so they used a translation app to communicate. They said they stayed with him for about two hours, then asked again for the agreed-upon payment.
After they decided to leave, according to them, Payne followed them to the hotel lobby, where they told the staff about the alleged damage and the unpaid money. Later, they returned briefly to collect items they had left in the room. "He apologized for giving us a bad time," one of them said.
The two said they left shortly before 4:00 PM, while Payne was still behaving erratically before returning to his room. He fell to his death at 5:07 PM, and according to them, they only found out what happened after seeing reports on social media, and later gave testimony to the police.
