Iffe Lundberg Signs 3-Year Extension with Maccabi Tel Aviv: "Excited to Continue the Journey"
The summer saga concludes as the playoff final series MVP commits to the club until 2029. The Danish guard will earn approximately 6 million dollars over the next three seasons.
After long weeks of negotiations, Maccabi Tel Aviv officially announced on Monday the extension of Iffe Lundberg's contract for three additional seasons. The Danish guard, who was one of the most prominent players for the 'yellows' last season and was named MVP of the final playoff series, will continue to lead the team in the coming years.
Lundberg (31, 1.93 m), who plays as a point guard and shooting guard, has become one of the pillars of the team under Oded Kattash. In the last EuroLeague season, he averaged 11 points and 3.6 assists per game, while in the final playoff series, his numbers improved to 17.5 points and 4 assists on average. He was a key factor in Maccabi's double-win, and under the new contract, he will earn 6 million dollars over 3 years.
