IDF and Shin Bet Target Hamas Rafah Brigade Commander in Southern Gaza

The IDF and the Shin Bet targeted the commander of Hamas's Rafah Brigade, Nael Abu-Abeid, in a strike in the southern Gaza Strip. Palestinian reports indicate at least two deaths and 14 injuries in Khan Yunis.

Abu-Abeid took over last year following the elimination of Muhammad Shabana alongside Muhammad Sinwar. A senior security official stated that it appears the targeted killing was successful.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed the operation, emphasizing that no terrorist is immune and that Hamas will not remain in Gaza.
