IDF Officer Killed in Operational Accident in Southern Lebanon
The IDF announced on Thursday that Captain Eliav Chaim Tsaplemus, 21, a combat officer from Haifa serving in the 7th Brigade's 603rd Battalion, was killed in an operational accident in southern Lebanon. Three other soldiers sustained light injuries in the incident.
The severe incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon when an IDF Hummer overturned during an operation by the 7th Brigade forces in the Litani area of southern Lebanon. The IDF stated that an investigation into the circumstances of the accident is currently underway.
Funeral Arrangements and Official Reactions
The funeral for Captain Eliav Chaim Tsaplemus will be held on Friday at 13:00 at the military cemetery in Haifa.
