IDF Eliminates Northern Gaza Hamas Commander Izz al-Din al-Bik

The IDF eliminated Izz al-Din al-Bik, Hamas commander for the northern Gaza Strip, in an apartment in Gaza City. Al-Bik previously survived an assassination attempt in May during a strike that killed the deputy commander of the Hamas Gaza City Brigade, Imad Aslim. Born in 1981, al-Bik joined Hamas at an early age and grew up in the Jabaliya refugee camp.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed the elimination shortly after initial reports. They stated that al-Bik was involved in terror plots against Israeli forces and recruited operatives for the organization. They praised the IDF and Shin Bet for their decisive actions and vowed to continue pursuing all Hamas members until the organization is dismantled.
