After a four-year hiatus, the Israel Defense Forces combat readiness championship returned to Bahad 8 for an intense competitive week. Approximately 2,500 soldiers and commanders from 49 units across the military gathered for three days of rigorous trials designed to test physical capabilities, professional skills, and teamwork.

Against the backdrop of three years of active combat, this year's championship underwent a comprehensive overhaul to incorporate lessons learned from various operational arenas. The competition featured five core disciplines: commanders' navigation, modeled after the forested terrain of southern Lebanon near the Litani River; the commanders' test, incorporating a 5-kilometer march, obstacles, and firing under physical exertion; an obstacle course featuring debris-simulation tires, stretcher carries, and post-exertion shooting; a team test requiring 12-fighter squads led by an officer to evacuate 80-kilogram stretchers across two kilometers alongside simulated casualty evacuations under fire; and Krav Maga simulations of close-quarters combat.

The Paratroopers Brigade dominated the infantry category, securing first place ahead of the Nahal Brigade and the Givati Brigade, while the Kfir and Golani brigades failed to reach the podium. Furthermore, the Paratroopers Reconnaissance Unit claimed victory in the infantry reconnaissance category, followed by Givati Reconnaissance and Nahal Reconnaissance.

In the elite units category, Shayetet 13 secured first place, followed by the Commando Brigade and Yahalom. Among select units, naval cadets captured first place, ahead of the Multidimensional Unit and the Counter-Terrorism School. In the brigade training base category, the Givati training base took first place, followed by the Paratroopers and Nahal training bases.
