IBC Ownership: Investor Group to Acquire Remaining 30% Stake for 370M NIS
The investor group led by Phoenix, Mor, and Gil Sharon signed an MOU to acquire the remaining 30% of IBC from the Israel Electric Corporation for approximately 370 million shekels, securing 100% ownership.

The telecommunications infrastructure company IBC is facing a dramatic shift in its ownership structure. A new investor group, which includes institutional and private investors led by Phoenix, Mor Investment House, Noy Fund, and Chairman Gil Sharon, has signed a memorandum of understanding to acquire a 30% stake in the company, representing the remaining shares held by the Israel Electric Corporation. Upon completion of the move, the group will hold 100% of IBC's shares.
The planned transaction, which includes the purchase of the shares and the remainder of the Electric Corporation's shareholder loan to IBC, is valued at a total of approximately 370 million shekels. This amount reflects a company valuation similar to the one set in the original acquisition deal carried out at the end of 2025.
The investor group's decision to deepen its hold on the company, mere months after acquiring control of it, is perceived in the market as a clear expression of confidence in its operations. In recent years, IBC has become a central player in the Israeli communications market, establishing an advanced and independent fiber-optic infrastructure that already reaches over 2.6 million households and businesses nationwide.
Gil Sharon, who serves as IBC's chairman and is among the leaders of the investor group, addressed the move, stating: "The decision to deepen the investment in IBC and work toward acquiring the Electric Corporation's full holdings is a significant expression of confidence in the company, the path it has taken, and its growth potential."
Sharon further emphasized the group's long-term vision: "Less than a year after acquiring control of the company, we seek to increase our investment out of belief in the quality of the infrastructure built, IBC's development plans, and its ability to continue growing and solidifying its position as a central player in Israel's fiber-optic market and a genuine competitor to Bezeq."
