Police Shut Down Hura Supermarket After Bound Man Found in Warehouse
Ayaroat police station commander Yahav Siman ordered the administrative closure of a supermarket in Hura for 20 days. The decision follows the rescue of a bound man held captive in the store's warehouse.
The commander of the Ayarot police station, Superintendent Yahav Siman, has signed an administrative closure order for a supermarket in the Bedouin town of Hura after a man was found bound with zip-ties inside the store's warehouse.
Ayarot police officers, in cooperation with Border Police National Guard fighters, raided the business premises following intelligence reports. Upon entering the warehouse, forces located the bound victim and immediately released him.
Vigilante Justice Over Alleged Theft
According to the police investigation, the business owner and several other suspects bound the victim after allegedly catching him stealing from the shop. Police forces subsequently arrested five suspects for their involvement in the incident.
Following a formal hearing held for the business owners and based on the recommendation of the Southern District Legal Advisor, the station commander ordered the supermarket closed for a period of 20 days.
Superintendent Yahav Siman stated:
"We will not allow anyone to take the law into their own hands, act violently, or bypass the legal system. Even when a crime is suspected, it must be handled in accordance with the law and through the authorized law enforcement agencies. We will act decisively against anyone who disrupts public order and safety, utilizing all legal measures at our disposal."
