Eight Muslim countries: "Israel is sabotaging the Trump plan"
In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of eight Muslim countries accused Israel of rejecting the Trump plan and the establishment of a Palestinian state. They held Israel fully responsible for disrupting peace efforts and called on the US to ensure compliance with the roadmap, including the deployment of international stabilization forces in Gaza.
"Israel bears responsibility for disrupting efforts to establish peace in Gaza and the rest of the occupied Palestinian land." This was the joint statement issued by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkey, Qatar, and the UAE. They condemned Israel's refusal to complete the implementation of the comprehensive plan by US President Donald Trump to end the conflict, which was approved by UN Security Council Resolution No. 2803, as well as the refusal to establish a Palestinian state.
Despite the dispute over the multinational agreement, Moroccan forces are on their way to Gaza.
According to the participating countries, the Israeli position constitutes a direct rejection of the comprehensive plan, endangers its implementation, and fundamentally undermines collective efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace.
The roadmap accepted by Palestinian factions is the result of intensive efforts by mediators—Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, the USA, the High Representative for Gaza, and the Peace Council. It is a critical stage for the concentration of weapons, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, the deployment of international stabilization forces, the transfer of administrative authority to the National Committee for the Management of Gaza, and the reconstruction of the region.
Stagnation
The ministers emphasize that the rejection of the roadmap constitutes an explicit refusal to advance the comprehensive plan, directly threatening to sabotage the efforts invested by US President Donald Trump to end the war. In this context, they stress the importance of continued active American involvement to ensure Israel complies with its obligations and to prevent further disruption. Israel bears full responsibility for any consequences resulting from its refusal, including the deterioration of the situation on the ground and the paralysis of peace efforts.
Sabotaging the agreement
The ministers reiterate the urgent need for the full and immediate implementation of the plan to address the severe humanitarian crisis and ensure security for all in Gaza. They absolutely reject any attempt to deny the establishment of a Palestinian state, including through unilateral steps.
A just and lasting peace can only be achieved through the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state based on the 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital. The ministers called on the Peace Council, with the support of the USA, to take immediate and tangible steps to preserve the integrity of the plan and prevent its disruption by any party.
