Iranian Guard Experts Inspect Bab el-Mandeb as Houthis Strike Riyadh

Iranian Revolutionary Guard experts visited the Bab el-Mandeb strait to inspect radar installations and tunnel excavation works, according to military sources cited by AFP.

The developments follow a pro-Iranian drone strike on Riyadh, marking the first time air raid alarms sounded in the Saudi capital since the recent escalation with the Houthis. Footage showed smoke rising near the local airport.

Houthi official Hazam al-Asad claimed via X that an Aramco fuel depot was hit, warning that "the major attack is yet to come." Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia reportedly requested air defense assistance from allies amid concerns over depleting interceptor stockpiles.
