"Shame on you": Tamir Shnaid in a sharp attack on Gilad Erdan

Channel 14 news anchor Tamir Shnaid launched a sharp attack on Thursday against a video published by Gilad Erdan against the Likud party, which was deleted shortly after:

"It would not have shamed the last of the 'Kaplanists'. You call for unity and sow division, so decide what you are. This split personality is not authentic and it does not work. Why did you delete it? Was it too 'left' for you?"

According to him, Erdan recruited high-caliber people to his party, "like Oren Smadga and Hezi Nachama — you put them under the category of this vileness. You incite brother against brother, and you talk about the right wing striving for a civil war". He further added that the reform could have been passed:

"And in order not to tear this baby apart, we left everything so we could deal with other fronts. Shame on you".

During the video he published, signs in the public space were replaced with the names of Knesset members, some of whom were not elected in the primaries, under the slogan: "Begin said there will be no civil war, where are they and where is Begin?".

As recalled, about two months ago, Erdan announced his resignation from the Likud and the establishment of a new right-wing party together with Yuli Edelstein. In a speech he delivered, he declared that his party would work to establish a "broad Zionist government", promote a Basic Law that would mandate service for all Israeli citizens, and would not sit in any narrow government. Erdan responded to a question from our Knesset correspondent Avraham Hasson as to whether he thinks Benjamin Netanyahu should continue in the role of Prime Minister, saying: "I do not decide, and I do not think my opinion matters".
