Hapoel Holon secured an impressive 88-81 away victory against Germany's Rasta Vechta in the FIBA Champions League group stage on Wednesday, claiming their second consecutive win across all competitions. Predrag Krunic's squad improved their European record to 2-1 at the end of the first round.

The match began evenly, with Adama Sanogo leading Holon's early charge by scoring 8 of the team's first 13 points. Although the hosts edged the opening quarter, the visitors seized control in the second period behind improved perimeter shooting and four three-pointers, taking a 44-39 lead into halftime.

Vechta opened the second half with a 10-1 run to reclaim the advantage, but Holon responded decisively with a 16-5 surge to build a double-digit lead in the final quarter. The German side fought back to narrow the gap to three points with under two minutes remaining, before Keldel Harris Jr. delivered a crucial three-point play and a technical foul on the Vechta coach sealed the victory for the visitors.

Lester Medford Jr. paced Holon with 23 points, Sanogo added 17, and Harris Jr. contributed 15. Holon will now look to carry this momentum into their domestic league matchup against Rishon LeZion on Monday.
