The Haifa Economic Corporation, the entrepreneurial arm of the Haifa municipality, has launched a Request for Information (RFI) targeting investors, entrepreneurs, and funds from Israel and abroad. The initiative seeks to promote new projects in real estate, energy, infrastructure, tourism, and defense tech, with potential investments reaching hundreds of millions of shekels and implementation slated for 2027.

Fostering Economic Growth and Innovation

Under the RFI, the municipal arm will evaluate mature projects featuring clear business models and execution capabilities. While this is an exploratory phase rather than a formal tender, the corporation stated it may participate financially in suitable ventures, provide logistical support, and connect developers with strategic business partners.

The Haifa Economic Corporation is driving new local and international business opportunities to expand economic activity in Haifa. We aim to develop projects worth tens to hundreds of millions of shekels while partnering in equity investments to boost the local economy, said Rani Bender, Chairman of the Haifa Economic Corporation.

Managing Assets and Strategic Vision

The Haifa Economic Corporation currently manages assets valued at approximately 2 billion shekels, operating with a total budget of around 160 million shekels for 2026. The corporation holds stakes in key hubs such as the Matam high-tech park and actively invests in urban projects, sports, and technological ventures.

市長 Yona Yahav emphasized that Haifa possesses distinct advantages in human capital, academia, research, and infrastructure. The municipality aims to leverage these assets to attract quality employment and robust investments, transforming local potential into tangible economic growth.
