Three years after the October 7 disaster, the Habithonim movement is holding its "From Disaster to Victory" security conference today, Wednesday, presenting its seven core principles for national security.

The conference brings together senior officials from the defense establishment, defense industries, local government, and public sector. Discussions focus on shifts in Israel's security concept since October 7, military and technological power, diplomatic standing, national resilience, internal security, and countering delegitimization.

Core Principles of National Security

During the conference, the movement is presenting seven foundational principles covering security borders, the Jordan Valley, the future of Judea and Samaria, force build-up, munitions independence, the reserve system, governance, and the fight against antisemitism.

"Three years after October 7, Israel is required to shape its security concept for the coming years," said Brig. Gen. (res.) Erez Weiner, chairman of Habithonim.

Participants include Rafael Chairman Yuval Steinitz, Indian Ambassador J.P. Singh, Police Commissioner Daniel Levy, and other defense figures. Speakers emphasized the unprecedented multi-branch maneuverability and air support coordination achieved during the ongoing war.
