Guy Lerner, host of the television program "HaTzinor" on Channel 13, shared that he is receiving particularly disturbing messages following the publication of an investigation regarding the illegal takeover of about 900 burial plots at the cemetery in Netanya by followers of the late Rabbi Amos Gueta.

In a tweet published yesterday (Tuesday) on his X account, the host shared a message he received from an individual:

"Guy Lerner, I have just one small thing to say... Do you know Shlomo Artzi? He has a song and there is a line there that says 'cats are counting down their end'."

Alongside the message, Lerner noted: "Well, among the many death threats I am receiving after the investigation into the grave theft by the followers of the late Rabbi Gueta — I admit this is the sweetest one."

The threats began as early as the promotion stage of the investigation. In a recently revealed recording, one of the parties is heard warning directly:

"Look, people have been hurt, do not mess with Rabbi Amos. There was some tractor driver who wanted to destroy — he went mute, he is paralyzed to this day. Anyone who messes with Rabbi Amos, may God have mercy on his soul."

Despite serious police indications and testimonies regarding vehicles that were set on fire, Lerner clarified that he does not intend to surrender to extortion and the culture of criminality. "A total eclipse of all the systems of maintaining order and law in this country is not a reason to follow in their footsteps," Lerner stated. He also delivered a sharp message to those making threats: "Your rabbi was a righteous man and lived in extreme modesty; he would be ashamed of you."
