A Greek court has ordered the pre-trial detention of a 32-year-old Israeli national following a high-profile drug raid at a luxury hotel in Elounda, Crete. According to local media reports, the suspect was arrested alongside three other Israeli citizens last week after police uncovered roughly 40 grams of white and pink cocaine during a party held at the resort.

The operation was launched following a tip-off received by the Greek anti-narcotics unit regarding drug distribution at the event. During interrogation, the 32-year-old suspect claimed that the seized narcotics were intended strictly for personal use. Despite his testimony, authorities decided to keep him in custody and ordered his transfer to the Korydallos Prison in Athens.

The initial arrests occurred after patrol officers encountered another young Israeli national exhibiting extreme agitation, suspected of being under the influence of substances. According to police, the individual verbally abused officers, resisted the check, and damaged a patrol car before being hospitalized for medical treatment.

Investigators later connected him to the same hotel party. A subsequent search of his room revealed a small quantity of drugs, leading to his arrest alongside two other men in their 30s and a 41-year-old woman.
