Great: For the third time, Artem Dolgopyat is European Champion
Another great moment in the career of the Israeli gymnast: he scored 14.466 points in the floor exercise final in Zagreb, enough to secure the top spot on the podium, just as he did in 2020 and 2022. Gymnastics Association Chairman Avi Sagi stated: "He is cut from the cloth that great champions are made of."
Artem Dolgopyat continues to write the history of Israeli gymnastics. The gymnast from Maccabi Tel Aviv won the gold medal in the floor exercise at the European Championships in Zagreb, delivering an excellent performance in the final to receive a score of 14.466 points. For Dolgopyat, this is his third European title on the apparatus where he has achieved his greatest successes.
The Israeli, an Olympic champion from Tokyo 2020 and silver medalist from Paris 2024, continues to establish his status as one of the greatest Israeli athletes of all time. Dolgopyat previously won the European Championship in the floor exercise in 2020 and 2022. In addition, he has been crowned European vice-champion four times (2018, 2019, 2023, and 2024). He now adds a third gold medal, continuing his impressive dominance on the apparatus.
On the world stage, Dolgopyat's record is equally impressive. He holds three World Championship medals in the floor exercise: a gold in 2023 and two silvers in 2017 and 2019.
Israel Gymnastics Association Chairman Avi Sagi congratulated Dolgopyat on the achievement:

Dolgopyat did not reach this achievement alone. The senior national team at the European Championships is accompanied by national coach Sergei Weissburg, coaches Andrei Gribanov and Ilan Korchak, judges Yaakov Levi and Ilan Gazit, and physiotherapist Adam Badir.
