Golan on the attack: "I regret the loss of human life - both Israelis and Palestinians"
Following the attack in the Havat Gilad area, in which Major Yuval Ezra and Binyahu Malet were killed, along with four Palestinians, Yair Golan and Moshe Radman criticized the government's policies. "Instead of distancing civilians from friction points, Netanyahu and Katz are announcing the establishment of more illegal outposts and farms," said Golan.

The attack resulted in the deaths of Major Yuval Ezra, a battery commander in the 411th Battalion of the 282nd Fire Brigade, and 32-year-old Binyahu Malet, a resident of Havat Gilad, a member of the rapid response team and the farm's agricultural manager. In addition, four Palestinians were killed and several other people were wounded.
Golan wrote that he mourns the loss of human life, both Israeli and Palestinian, and emphasized that it must be ensured that everyone who broke the law and participated in violence is arrested and brought to justice. According to him, the government is acting intentionally to create an "explosive reality" in the region and is providing backing to extremist settlers who act to create friction.
"Instead of distancing civilians from friction points, Netanyahu and Katz are announcing the establishment of more illegal outposts and farms, thereby deepening the risk and the escalation," he claimed.
According to him, the government's policy creates additional centers of confrontation while the reserve system is being eroded, and primarily endangers IDF soldiers.
"Netanyahu and Minister Israel Katz are turning Judea and Samaria into a powder keg that endangers Israel's security," Golan wrote. He added that if his party comes to power, it will work to stop the "trips" of civilians to friction points in Areas A and B, to dismantle violent organizations, and to enforce the law on everyone.
Moshe Radman also criticized the conduct of Israelis in the area and the way the event is being covered in the media. According to him, although it is not yet known who started the confrontation, it should be examined as part of the broader reality in Judea and Samaria.
"We have no operational logic and no apparent reason to establish settlements in this space, which is entirely composed of Arab settlements and villages, and certainly not to go out there for 'trips'," he wrote. Radman argued that Israel, which is dealing with a shortage of forces and several active fronts, cannot allocate forces to protect civilians who choose to arrive at friction points or to protect isolated settlements.
According to him, action must be taken quickly to lower the flames in the region, stop the expansion of farms and outposts, enforce the law in Area C, and strengthen the fight against terrorism — "both Palestinian and Jewish."
