GitHub is bringing its latest software development tools and AI agent innovations to Tel Aviv, following the recent GitHub Universe 2026 conference in San Francisco. The upcoming GitHub Winter Event, organized by Microsoft and UBTECH, will offer local developers, engineering managers, and CTOs an in-core look at the future of AI-driven software development.

The event is scheduled for November 11, running from 9:00 to 13:30 at the Microsoft Reactor in Tel Aviv. Participation is free of charge, though advance registration is required and seating is limited due to high demand.

The Shift to Agentic SDLC

Software development has evolved significantly from basic auto-complete features to sophisticated AI agents that handle complex tasks. At the core of GitHub's vision is the Agentic Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), where autonomous agents assist in triage, testing, and code reviews across the entire development pipeline. Yuri Navalny, Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft and GitHub, will deliver a keynote on the practical implementation of this model.

Another major highlight is the introduction of the GitHub Copilot Desktop app, designed to streamline multi-agent workflows from a single interface. Yuval Avidani, a recognized GitHub Star and technologist, will demonstrate how developers can manage background agents, handle security alerts, and automate Pull Requests directly from the new desktop environment.

The conference will also feature sessions on voice-enabled AI agents using Microsoft Foundry, AI-driven code security, and real-world case studies from enterprises such as Varonis. Expert speakers include Or Shochat, Senior Cloud and AI Architect at UBTECH; Marina Marinkov, Senior Cloud and AI Specialist at Microsoft; Esther Dadiashvili, Senior Solution Specialist at Microsoft; Yoav Laks, AI Solutions Architect at Varonis; and Gal Shochat, Full Stack Developer at UBTECH.
