Galit Shira Elul spent decades battling severe epilepsy, experiencing multiple seizures daily and navigating profound social and personal challenges. Following a complex and difficult brain surgery, her life transformed dramatically. Today, she marks three years entirely free of seizures.
Overcoming a Lifelong Struggle
Diagnosed at age nine after experiencing her first seizure during a childhood incident, Elul lived with constant uncertainty and social stigma. As an adult, she suffered between seven and 11 seizures a day, which severely impacted her ability to work and care for her daughter. Despite the hardships, she embraced a spiritual journey later in life, finding strength in faith and observance.
"I was 48, but I didn't know what it was. I started reading, and every moment I called him and asked him: what does this verse mean? And what does this verse mean?" she recalls.
A Miraculous Recovery
After undergoing challenging medical procedures that initially left her in a fragile state, including mobility and speech difficulties, Elul experienced an unexpected turnaround. Her epileptic seizures completely vanished. Supported by her medical team, she pushed through rehabilitation with remarkable optimism.
Today, Elul enjoys newfound confidence and independence. Reflecting on her journey, she attributes her healing to divine providence and a renewed sense of inner strength.
