The Farm Association released a comprehensive map illustrating the extensive scope of agricultural land secured by remote farming initiatives across the country. According to the data, agricultural outposts currently safeguard over 1.1 million dunams of land, significantly surpassing the 200,000 dunams held within established municipal boundaries.
Industry representatives emphasized that remote agricultural presence serves as a vital tool for territorial preservation, stretching from the Jordan Valley and Samaria to the southern Hebron Hills and the Judean Desert.
"On every single dunam held through built-up settlement, there are close to six additional dunams preserved through agricultural outposts," a farm representative explained.
Criticism and Political Reactions
The publication drew sharp criticism from human rights and anti-settlement organizations. The Peace Now movement condemned the release, labeling the document as a blueprint for territorial annexation and violence against local communities.
Concurrently, the Standing Together movement issued a statement condemning government-backed policies that allegedly facilitate displacement in the West Bank, arguing that enduring security can only be achieved through a comprehensive political agreement.
