Explosion at a port in Egypt - which Iran threatened to attack: "It is possible that drones hit gas tankers"

An explosion occurred this evening, Wednesday, at a liquefied natural gas facility in the port city of Damietta in Egypt. Two security sources told Reuters that it is "possible" that natural gas storage tanks were hit by drones.

Although it is not yet explicitly clear if this was an attack, just the day before yesterday, Iranian television published a map with targets in the Middle East that could face a retaliatory strike. The port of Damietta was listed as one of these targets following the unusual Ukrainian attack against an Iranian ship in the Caspian Sea last weekend.
