The website HoopsHype ranked the 80 greatest international players in NBA history on Saturday, including Deni Avdija in the list. The Israeli was placed 75th, ahead of Bogdan Bogdanovic, Lu Dort, J.J. Barea, Swen Nater, and Deandre Ayton. Avdija is one of three new additions to the list, alongside Ivica Zubac and Dillon Brooks.

"As always, we took into account to some extent achievements in FIBA, but we gave much greater weight to what the players did when competing against the best - that is, in the NBA. And of course, the focus is on what they actually achieved and not on what they could have achieved if this or that had happened," the American website explained.

About Avdija, it was written: "Few players have broken out recently as impressively as Deni Avdija did last season. He became an All-Star in the tough Western Conference after averaging 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists in the 2025/26 season. Was this a one-time flash, or will Avdija maintain this level in the coming years? And maybe he will even manage to improve even more? It will be interesting to find out, but if the Israeli swingman does indeed manage to improve from this level, he may climb quickly in the rankings in the coming years, after developing into a significant force in drives to the basket, both in the half-court game and in transition."

The top 10 has not changed compared to last year. Victor Wembanyama is currently ranked only 50th, but he is of course expected to jump higher in the coming years.
